Celebrating
Families!
Provided by Renewal
House
Celebrating Families! is a substance abuse prevention program,
provided by Renewal House, Inc, that helps children in families whose lives
have been affected by the substance use/abuse of a parent or other primary caregiver
in their family (meaning that this family member has used or abused alcohol or
other drugs, either presently, or in the past.)
- There
must be at least one child age 3 to 17 years old, and at least one
adult (age 18+) in the family who would participate in the program. The
adult participating does NOT have to be a parent (it can be a family
member, friend, mentor, foster family, etc.), but a legal guardian must
officially enroll a minor child. There
is no minimum for family members- the ENTIRE family can participate in
this group. (the substance abuser does NOT have to participate in the
program.)
- There
are no costs to participate! A family meal, and child care for infants
birth through 2 years old are provided FREE.
- The
group is on Mondays, from 5:30pm to 8pm, once per week for 11 weeks.
- Group
topics cover a wide range of healthy living skills for the entire family- including:
substance abuse prevention/intervention, communication skills, anger
management, problem solving, child development, parenting, body safety,
health, and similar topics. (The CF curriculum is an evidence-based
practice. If any of your clients are required to take a parenting class,
this curriculum might be able to meet that requirement.)
- We
require that all participants commit to abstain from using any substances
for at least 24 hours prior, and during, group time. We ask that our
participants NOT use any tobacco products from the time that they arrive on
site to the time they leave.

While there is no denying that the clinical detoxification method can be irksome, it doesn't infer that you can't encounter the strategy in a pleasant space. You should go to rehab workplaces that try to make their patients as pleasing as possible during the clinical detoxification method and offer pleasing and obliging rooms that will make the system easier. Saving the push to really check for the right clinical detoxification organizations and the benefit rehab workplaces is a noteworthy development as the benefit rehab office can help anyone wanting to guarantee their detox and recovery process turns out to be emphatically, get the results they are scanning for.
