Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide Holistic Comprehensive wellness care to vulnerable and undeserved youth as a collaboration with Meharry Medical College and the agencies located at the Youth Opportunity Center.

The Meharry Youth Health and Wellness Center offers both medical and wellness/ preventive services designed to cater to the specific needs of today’s youth.

R.I.P. (Regional Intervention Program)

The Regional Intervention Program has been serving families with young children 
since 1969. RIP is an internationally recognized parent implemented program in 
which parents learn to work directly with their own children. Experienced RIP parents 
provide training and support to newly enrolled families. The program is available to
families in which there are concerns regarding a young child's behavior, and is 
coordinated by a professional resource staff person. Parents should feel free to contact
the program to discuss their concerns.

*Notes: They are a positive behavior management program who focus their efforts on children ages 6 and younger. You may refer Pre-K and K families. They also provide FREE training and for teachers and parents.

TENNderCare is the name of Tennessee’s comprehensive physical exam for children who receive TennCare.  This comprehensive exam is free of charge to all TennCare recipients who are under the age of 21.  The exam includes a health history, a complete physical exam, lab tests (as needed), immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, developmental and behavioral screenings and advice on how to stay healthy. 
Research has reported increases in obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases among the nation’s children, these services can help assure your students will be healthier and better able to participate in classroom activities.
We hope you will partner with us in our efforts to make our children healthier and free of disease.   Please feel free to contact us if you would like for a TennderCare representative to participate in an event at your school or if you have any questions.

ALL THAT WE REQUIRE IS AT LEAST 1-2 WEEKS NOTICE AND A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT AND WE WILL BE THERE TO HAND OUT PLENTY OF HELPFUL INFORMATION AND FREE INCENTIVES!

Hope Program of Catholic Charities





HOPE PROGRAM:
Trauma & Loss Counseling for Children

Free Program for youth ages 5 to 18 who have experienced a homicide and/or assault in their family or community

            Through a grant of the Victim of Crime Act, Catholic Charities of Tennessee started the HOPE Program in 1998. This program serves children who are considered secondary victims of homicide or victims of assault. These children have had family members or friends who have been murdered, have witnessed homicides/assault, or simply live or play in neighborhoods where homicides/assaults have happened, and are experiencing changes in emotions and behaviors as a result.

Centerstone


Centerstone has developed a special approach to help children overcome behavioral health challenges. Lifecare Family Services

* Must have TennCare * Upon contacting LifeCare for an initial appointment you will be scheduled with a trained mental health or counseling professional. During this initial visit, the level of care and services will be determined in conjunction with your assigned professional caregiver. The services referred may include Counseling, Case Management, Nursing, and/or Psychiatric intervention depending on the severity of the issues. LifeCare offers both individual and group counseling and case management services customized to fit the needs of the individual, couple, single parent, or traditional family who is experiencing any on going issues in their life and need professional help or assistance.

YWCA
