Tenndercare

TENNderCare is the name of Tennessee’s comprehensive physical exam for children who receive TennCare.  This comprehensive exam is free of charge to all TennCare recipients who are under the age of 21.  The exam includes a health history, a complete physical exam, lab tests (as needed), immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, developmental and behavioral screenings and advice on how to stay healthy.
Research has reported increases in obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases among the nation’s children, these services can help assure your students will be healthier and better able to participate in classroom activities.
We hope you will partner with us in our efforts to make our children healthier and free of disease.   Please feel free to contact us if you would like for a TennderCare representative to participate in an event at your school or if you have any questions.
PLEASE KEEP US IN MIND IN FOR:
  • PTO MEETINGS
  • SCHOOL EVENTS
  • FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL GAMES
  • COMMUNITY EVENTS
  • CARNIVALS
  • HEALTH AND JOB FAIRS

The TennderCare program services many populations with outreach workers fluent in English, French, Somali, Kurdish, Arabic, and Spanish as well as other varying dialects.
