Charis Ministries is a faith based food provider.
A blurb from their website:
Charis provides food assistance to any caller in the Nashville area who needs help when an unexpected shortfall arises. Many events can disrupt a family's income or add a new expense, and delivering a box of basic food items may help them make it past the difficulty. We don't help with a routine monthly budget, but when something out of the ordinary happens, we want to ensure a family has meals while they work things out.

The Help Center stores a large supply of clothing, a pantry of canned goods, some furniture and other items, and a quilting room. DCC members keep the center supplied with financial assistance, food, clothing, and other items. We also receive donations from others in the Donelson area who have heard of this good work. In addition to helping people in our own community, we’ve been able to provide aid to tornado and hurricane victims, and send supplies to the poor in the mountains of Appalachia.
Every Tuesday morning, food, clothing, and other services are provided.

Provide clothing, food boxes, household items, furniture, counseling, holiday meals, and special events for needy families. The emphasis is on providing services for those coming out of homelessness, domestic violence and addiction centers, and prison.
Music City Mission is a Christian, Non-profit organization dedicated to "healing the city, one life at a time" through evangelism, discipleship and social action. We accomplish this by offering Meals, Clothing, Volunteerism, Food Boxes, Discipleship, and Evangelism Outreach.
Located in the heart of South Nashville, MCM has been serving hundreds of Nashville's families every month since September of 2003. MCM has consisently been in the top 20 of the United Way "211" referral agencies and in the Spring of 2010 moved up to the top 10. Music City Mission gives individualized attention, prayer and time to each and every family and situation. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is the most important way MCM can effectively make a difference in someone's life.
