The Heartbeat Ministry exists for the sole purpose of meeting people's basic needs: food, clothing, and spiritual guidance. Each weekend on Friday and Saturday, the Heartbeat Ministry gives out food, clothing, and spiritual guidance to people in our community who are in need.

The Heartbeat Ministry's regular hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm. The Heartbeat Ministry is located on the Hermitage Campus at Door #5.

The range of programs that we offer encompasses the following:

• After-school programs
• Summer camp
• Transitional Housing for homeless families and single women
• Men’s Lodge
• Weekly feeding programs, featuring our Breakfast Brigade and Soup Wagon
• Life Skills Learning, which includes GED classes and Budgeting Classes
• Disaster Response
• Emergency Services Assistance

Emeregency Assistance provides food, personal care items, clothing, household items and short-term financial help with housing and utilities. The program also provides referrals for other needed social services. Target population is low-income and homeless families living in Davidson and surrounding counties and those facing crisis situations. This program serves approximately 10,000 individuals per year and consistently ranks in the top five providers on United Way's "211" information and referral service.

Provides financial assistance for utility bills.  Also provide breakfast and lunch to children under 18 during the summer.  These meals are distributed to local churches, community centers, and summer camps throughout Nashville.
